New OTEN Community Services Work and Disability Work Students
Congratulations on enrolling in your OTEN course with Community Services! This blog is one way you can get updated information on OTEN and additional resources and links for your studies. To all our re-enrolling students welcome back! If you need more modules we can send them out once your re-enrolment has been processed. Make sure you regularly check-out this blog, we will be updating it every week with new information resources and links. Re-enrolling students
All re-enrolling students will receive notification from OTEN in November 2006. Re-enrolments can be completed through MEVI online or by ringing 9715 8675 or 9715 4675 from 6 November 2006. MEVI allows students to accept and pay, or accept and print an invoice. Students can then use this invoice to:
* Bpay
* pay at a post office
* Send to OTEN with a cheque or money order
* Send to OTEN with your application for a fee exemption
* give to a third party to pat for you
Important dates
* 6 November 2006 – 2007 OTEN enrolment period opens
* 15 November 2006 – Last day to submit assignments
* 23 December 2006 – 7 January 2007 OTEN closed

OTEN (Open Training Education Newtork) is the specialist distance education and open learning provider of TAFE NSW. The Community Services Section offers the following courses of study to distance learners:

4474 Certificate III in Disability Work
4475 Certificate IV in Disability Work
4460 Statement of Attainment in Community Services Work
4457 Certificate IV in Community Services Work
This blog is for students enrolled in any of these modules and hopes to be able to keep students up-to-date with OTEN and their studies. We hope to provide additional resources and links to further information. We welcome comments from students and hope we can provide a facility to provide feedback to students on the issues that are important to distance education learners in the Community Services.
